Career Day at Rancho Elementary School is an annual event designed to educate our students about the various career choices available in the working world. This annual event is a fun and rewarding experience that challenges our students to think about their futures, in addition to learning about how education plays a role in many career choices.
Over the past several years, we have had parents, friends of parents, grandparents, etc. of Rancho Students, come to our school to talk about their careers to classes ranging from Kindergarten through 5th grade. We want to continue this tradition, and invite anyone associated with a Rancho student to volunteer for Career Day, and share his or her exciting and rewarding career with our students.
Kindergarten presentations will be 15 minutes with an additional 5-minute Q&A, and first through 5th grade presentations will be 20 minutes with an additional 10–minute Q&A. We schedule four to six speakers per classroom, and will begin at 8:45 am, end at 12:15 pm, and all volunteers are invited to join a faculty luncheon beginning at 12:15 pm.
