The Rancho Library Media Center is an integral part of Rancho Elementary Schools, providing curriculum support through a variety of services designed to enhance classroom learning.  Our facilities feature a full collection of reading materials based on tk through 5th grade literature needs, as well as computer stations to access online curriculum, digital catalogs, research based websites, and various programs that help students create work which demonstrates their learning through reports and presentations.

As part of the Rancho Library Media Center’s mission, our facility hosts multiple classes per day where students receive guidance in research practices and other important academic skills.  Our space provides much more than a repository for books; the Library and Media Center is an important school asset where students are encouraged and supported in developing 21st century learning skills in collaboration, communication, critical thinking, creativity, character, and cultural competence.  Outside of school/library hours, our facility also hosts a variety of afterschool and community programs, non-affiliated with the library, but welcome guests in the shared utilization of our space.

Our library is funded through Rancho Schools, but also receives generous support from the Rancho PTA in expanding services and maintaining our extensive and valuable collection of resources.  If you are interested in helping to support our Library’s mission in serving our school community, please contact the Rancho PTA for details about how you can get involved to help.
