Principal Message

Dear Rancho Families,

We had a great week at Rancho! Thank you to all our students, teachers, families and staff for making this a great way to kick off the school year!

After a wonderful first week focused on helping students get oriented to their new classrooms, classmates, teachers, routines, and grade levels, we are ready to dig into learning!

Homework has now begun in many of our grade levels, and next week students will begin assessments in IXL. These assessments will give our teachers valuable information about student achievement, helping us identify strengths as well as areas to focus on for continued growth.

Our teachers are also beginning to implement our new ELA curriculum, Benchmark, with a focus on strong literacy instruction and grade-level standards.

Across all subject areas, teachers are identifying key learning targets so students understand what they are learning and can work toward mastery of their grade-level standards.

We are excited to move from getting settled to getting learning underway! πŸ’™πŸ¦…

Have a great weekend with your families and I look forward to seeing you all next week.

Warmly,

Principal Young

A Few Friendly Parking & Traffic Reminders

A Few Friendly Parking & Traffic Reminders
We know that getting in and out of Rancho can be tricky, especially during our busy drop-off and pick-up times. Thank you for your patience and for helping us keep everyone safe!
A few reminders:
  • Walking and biking are always encouraged! If you are able to walk or bike to school, please continue to do so.
  • Families may park on Taft Court or nearby neighborhood streets, but please be mindful of our neighbors and never block driveways.
  • The staff parking lot is for staff only. Please do not use the staff lot for parking, drop-off, or pick-up.
  • In the drop-off/pick-up lane, please pull all the way forward before stopping.
  • Drivers must remain in their cars while using the drop-off/pick-up lane. If your child needs help getting in or out of the car, please park and walk in.
  • Please do not double park, even for a quick drop-off or pick-up.
  • Most importantly, please slow down and drive carefully in and around our parking lot. We know mornings can be rushed, but being in a hurry is when accidents are most likely to happen.
Thank you for giving yourself a little extra time and helping us keep our Rancho Eagles, families, staff, and neighbors safe! πŸ’™πŸ¦…

Back-to-School Forms and Data Confirmation!

πŸ’™ Thank You, Rancho Families!
A HUGE thank you to our families who completed their Back-to-School Forms and Data Confirmation!

394 families completed their forms, bringing Rancho to a 93.81% completion rate! We only have 26 left to go!

The information collected through Data Confirmation helps determine funding our schools and district receive to support students and programs.

As you may know, Novato Unified is currently facing a budget deficit, which makes ensuring we receive every dollar of funding available to our schools especially important. Completing these forms is one simple but meaningful way families can help.

Thank you, Rancho families, for helping us reach 93.81%....we are so close to 100%! πŸ’™πŸ¦…
